Rodney Harmon and Mel Purcell were the 1980 NCAA Doubles Champions.
John-Patrick Smith (2008-11) was the second player in Division I history to be named ITA All-American in singles and doubles all four years of his career.
Tennessee has had 31 tennis players recognized as All-America. A program record four were selected in 2011: John-Patrick Smith, Tennys Sandgren, Rhyne Williams and Boris Conkic.
Tennessee has produced 14 nationally ranked singles players the last seven seasons, including two — Smith and Williams — who have held the No. 1 ranking.
