Individual Achievements
The Broncos have produced nine MAC Players of the Year, most recently in 2019 with German native Jannik Opitz.

Western Michigan University has also had much success on the individual level led by recent graduate Brady Crosby (Livonia, MI) who was ranked #52 in D I singles in 2007 as well as #21 in doubles with Tim Bradshaw (Bromsgrove, England). This tandem also qualified for the NCAA doubles championships in 2007. In 2013-14, senior Nadin Indre ranked #124 in singles play and ranks among the best singles players to play under Dave Morin; his .706 singles winning percentage ranks third among players Morin has coached that won at least 75 matches.

Recent Bronco graduate Ravishankar Pathanjali (2004) played the ATP tour for several years after college, and was ranked as high as 614 in singles and 368 in doubles.
Coaching Achievements
A 12-time Mid-American Conference Coach of the Year (1994, 1998, 2000, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2012, 2016, 2018, 2019) and a 2012 inductee into the WMU Athletics Hall of Fame, Western Michigan head coach Dave Morin has made the Broncos the gold standard in the Mid-American Conference over the course of 23 seasons, leading the team to 23 total MAC championships and 13 NCAA Tournament appearances.

Morin's tenure has been highlighted by 10 regular season MAC championships (1999, 2000, 2004, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2016, 2018, 2019) and 13 MAC Tournament championships that led to NCAA Tournament appearances in 1999, 2001, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2016, 2018, 2019. En route to those accomplishments, the Broncos have enjoyed the type of individual and team success often associated with Western Michigan's proud tradition.

The only coach to win MAC Coach of the Year honors at two different schools, Morin is 402-200 (.670) in 23 seasons at WMU, the all-time coaching wins leader at Western Michigan.

Morin's teams have been especially dominant in the MAC with a 145-46 (.759) record in regular season and tournament play. The Broncos have gone undefeated in conference play seven different times in Morin's tenure (2004, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2018, 2019), and did not finish lower than third in the conference from 1997-2013 and 2015-19. The Broncos have advanced to the MAC title match 17 times in his 23 seasons as head coach at WMU.

Morin has taken his team to the NCAA Tournament 13 times since the MAC Tournament champion began receiving an automatic bid in the 1999 season. Most recently, the Broncos won the 2019 MAC tournament as the No. 1 seed.

Individually, a total of 73 players have earned all-conference accolades during Morin's tenure. Morin's list also includes seven MAC Rookies of the Year, an ITA Region IV Freshman of the Year, and the 1999, 2001, 2004, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2018, and 2019 MAC Players of the Year.

Morin's teams haven't blinked when facing some of the best in the region: the Broncos have won 37 matches against Big Ten opponents since 2000, with wins in 12 consecutive years and an impressive 29-12 mark between 2003-07.

In the classroom, Western Michigan has been named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team for 14 of the past 15 seasons. The program was one of 11 NCAA Division I teams to earn that honor in 1999 after posting a school record 3.69 team GPA. There also have been 43 players who have been named to the Academic All-MAC roster. WMU players have also earned academic accolades at the national level, including two-time Academic All-America honoree Jeff Brink.
