To Whom It May Concern:
Re: Sahil Chhugani
The purpose of this letter is to recommend Sahil Chhugani as an excellent prospect for your team.
I have known Sahil since age 11 when he started playing at the Rochester Athletic Club.
It was obvious that Sahil was going to be a player. The way he presented himself on court was mature beyond his years. You could see it in his walk and the way he carried himself. When Sahil was 13; he went out for Rochester Century High School Tennis Team. He fit in with the older players right away socially and competitively.
Sahil has maintained a top ranking in our section throughout his tennis career. Sahil has always kept tennis balance with the school academics by maintaining an A-average. It is this balance and Sahil's competitive edge that has helped him to maintain the top spot on the Rochester Century High School Team and USTA Northern Section.
Sahil has been an exceptional representative of the values and behavior we expect from our players at the Rochester Athletic Club in Rochester, MN. Sahil does not swear, throw racquets or talk disrespectfully to officials, coaches or parents. It is because of these characteristics that Sahil would be a great addition to your team.
Sahil will always give you all he has. You will see him out on the court for extra hitting, working on the ball machine or finding someone to practice with. In my 23 years as a tennis professional, I believe that Sahil would make an excellent addition to any tennis team.
Sahil is the complete package. Competitively, there is not a person who will fight for every point but is gracious at the same time. He has a great work ethic. Sahil balances tennis with the school which enables him to excel at both. Because of these factors, I believe you should recruit Sahil Chhugani.

Ability: "Sahil has really developed into an a great all-court tennis player in the last 2-3 years. He's a very explosive tennis player, who can defend well and can pick off volleys and move quickly forward into the front of the court. He also got great racquet speed with his groundstrokes and his serve. I strongly believe in his ability to assess and make changes throughout a competition and someones "coachability" is an athletic skill and Sahil has always been able to problem solve and make necessary changes throughout a match to give him the best chance to win. "
Personality: "Sahil is a charasmatic kid and a very bright one too. He's outgoing and plays with a lot of energy but has an upbeat and easygoing personality off it. Sahil was very dedicated to improving his tennis game his last 2-3 years of high school and made significant strides because of hard work, effort and focus he put into his practice sessions. He's very easy kid to get along with. "
