USTA Foundation Plans More Help for Communities in Need
Share:

The USTA Foundation recently announced a growth plan to launch its 30-All Campaign, a special effort to celebrate the organization’s 30th anniversary and raise $30 million to help support its mission to bring tennis and education together to change lives.

As part of the campaign, the USTA Foundation plans to increase its impact in under-resourced communities by 30 percent and reach nearly 200,000 youth nationwide by 2026.

The USTA Foundation, the charitable arm of the United States Tennis Association Incorporated (USTA), helps support more than 250 community-based organizations across the United States that are a part of its flagship National Junior Tennis and Learning (NJTL) network. Created in 1969 by tennis legend Arthur Ashe, along with Charlie Pasarell and Sheridan Snyder, NJTL provides youth from under-resourced communities with more equitable access to tennis, education, and life skills development to help prepare them for the challenges and opportunities of life.

The USTA Foundation provides NJTL chapters and student-athletes with grants, scholarships, access to career and college readiness programs, and other enrichment opportunities to help them achieve their goals. Over the next three years, the USTA Foundation plans to expand its impact across the country in several key areas, including contributing funds to help resurface at least 200 tennis courts in communities of need, providing graduating seniors with access to over $3 million in scholarships, and helping NJTL chapters increase their participation to reach 200,000 youth, including doubling the number of adolescents in USTA Foundation programs.

“The USTA Foundation’s impact is not just measured in numbers, but in the countless stories of youth who have found a path to success through tennis and education,” Chris Evert, 18-time Grand Slam singles champion and USTA Foundation Board Chair, said in a release. “The 30-All Campaign goes far beyond raising funds; it’s about raising hopes, aspirations, and opportunities for young people across the country. I’m confident that we will continue to create a legacy of impact, empowerment, and positive change for future generations.”
