Sixteen Division I teams will turn their attention to Stillwater, Oklahoma after the Super Regionals concluded over the weekend at 15 campuses across the country, but two of the favorites for the 2024 NCAA Team Championship will not be among them.
While the top eight men's seeds all advanced to Thursday's quarterfinals, the top-seeded Oklahoma State and the fourth-seeded North Carolina women saw their seasons end with home losses to No. 16 Tennessee and No. 13 Texas A&M, respectively.

The Tar Heels dropped a 4-1 decision to the Aggies, who became title contenders when All-American Carson Branstine unexpectedly returned to College Station for the SEC conference tournament after competing on the Pro Circuit for the first four months of 2024. After taking a doubles point decided in a tiebreaker, wins by Branstine at line 2 and Texas transfer Nicole Khirin at line 3 set the stage for Mary Stoiana. The ITA's top-ranked player closed out the upset with a 6-4, 7-6(7) win over Elizabeth Scotty at line 1 to put an early end to 2023 champion North Carolina's title defense.
