Carter, the top recruit in the state of North Carolina, has a strong record on the court. His strong performances in the Southern Section, his five wins at the Super Nationals (
Hard Courts and
Clay Courts), and his 13 victories over other 5-Star recruits caught the eyes of many college coaches. Carter considered a number of different schools.
"I looked at a very diverse mix of colleges," said Carter. "From large public schools - to small private schools - to historically black universities - I wanted to know what made each school different. I looked into each type of school."
After a great deal of research, Carter narrowed his list to five Division I programs.
"My final top five schools were Virginia, Louisville, UNC Wilmington, Illinois State, and Wisconsin."
Today, Carter is ready to announce his college choice.
