USTA Boys' 18 and 16 Clays in Delray Beach

Delray Beach, FL - Tennis Balls, Beach Balls, Golf Balls - Gold Balls! The USTA Boys' 18 & 16 Clay Court National Championships has moved to Delray Beach, Florida, July 15 - 22, 2007. These sacred surfaces by the seashore have played host to some of the most storied matches in our great game - Sunshine Cup, Sony Ericsson (formerly known as The Lipton), Virginia Slims Championships, Davis Cup, Fed Cup and the ATP's Delray Beach International Tennis Championships - Events where tennis' supernovas such as Agassi, Roddick, Venus, Serena, Blake, Chang, Courier, Evert and more, paved the way, left their ball marks and carried on this rich tennis tradition.

Headed by Delray Beach International Tennis Championships (ATP Tour Event) Tournament Director Mark Baron and Tournament Chairman Ivan Baron, have secured the 50-year-old USTA Boys' 18s & 16s Clay Court National Championships, becoming PIM's most prestigious amateur event to date (USTA Boys' & Girls' 12s Spring National Championships is held in April).
The winner of the Boys' 18 singles division receives a Main Draw Wildcard into the ATP Delray Beach International Tennis Championships ($428,000 ATP Tour Event).
400 junior players will compete in the annual event, which is estimated to bring over 1,200 visitors to the area and an annual economic impact of over $1 million.
"We are extremely excited to host this major USTA national event," said Baron, who just finished hosting the 15th annual Delray Beach ITC two months ago. "Our goal is to make Delray Beach the place where the best junior players in the country come to compete."
The event will be televised both statewide and nationally, reaching an estimated 20 million homes. On Saturday, July 14th, from 11:30am - 2:00pm, the "Summer College Coaches Expo" will take place. This event is a wonderful up-close and personal opportunity to meet numerous NCAA tennis coaches. All players that have finished their junior year of high school and all parents and coaches of both age divisions may attend - free of charge.
