Recruiting Profile
Being a Good Sport Matters to USC-Bound Cayetano
Share:

Eryn Cayetano has enough sportsmanship awards to nearly fill a wall. Regardless of the outcome of matches, she regularly receives compliments about her good behavior from tournament directors, officials, opponents and spectators.

Cayetano doesn’t understand why. She doesn’t think she’s doing anything special.

Five-Star Eryn Cayetano Has Committed to USC

“Honestly, this is the only way the sport can survive really. If people didn’t have good sportsmanship, everything in the sport would be corrupt,” Cayetano said. “Having good character on the court not only truly represents who you are, it represents your parents and the people who helped raised you.”

Next fall for Cayetano, it will also represent the University of Southern California. The five-star senior from Corona, California has committed to play for USC.

“USC always felt like home to me. I remember going to my first USC match and the energy once you stepped on the campus was amazing,” Cayetano said. “I am just really hyped to wear USC on my chest or back, and really grateful for everyone who helped me get this opportunity.”
