Jodar's 6-3, 6-1 win over Great Britain's Charlie Robertson and Kostovic's 7-5, 6-2 victory over Thea Frodin of the United States in Saturday's finals at the Junior Tennis Champions Center were more evidence that they are ready to contend next week in New York, having mastered the hard courts without dropping a set.
Jodar, seeded No. 5, took out No. 2 seed Hayden Jones of Australia 7-5, 6-3 in the quarterfinals and beat No. 4 seed Jagger Leach 7-5, 6-2 in one of the highest quality matches of the tournament.
