Five-Star Kernagis Always Had William & Mary in Mind
Share:

Mira Kernagis (WTN 16.0) first visited William & Mary when her older brother, Alex, was doing his college search. Although he ended up attending Johns Hopkins, the William & Mary campus left a lasting impression.

The five-star senior from Glen Ellyn, Illinois, contacted the William & Mary coaches once she was eligible to be recruited, and they came to watch her play at national Hardcourts and Clay Courts.

The mutual admiration led to a verbal commitment from Kernagis. She plans to apply for early decision and sign with the Tribe once the signing period begins this week.

“I really liked the girls on the team when I met them on my visit,” Kernagis said. “I have visited the campus many times since I was younger and I really like the atmosphere and the campus itself. It’s just really pretty.”
