When it came time to decide on a college, Kojonroj focused on the military academies. Her trip to Colorado Springs confirmed what she wanted, and the five-star senior from Fullerton, California committed to Air Force.
“I wanted to give back to my community because I grew up with a lot of opportunities to help further my education,” Kojonroj said. “I have just overall become a better person, and I think serving our country would definitely give back to our community.”
Kojonroj began playing tennis at age 8. She would go to the courts with her dad and he would feed her balls.
“At first, I didn’t really like it that much because my parents put me into it as a non-contact sport,” Kojonroj said. “But then I grew to love it because I found that I was actually kind of decent at it.”
