Gabriela Glickstein may have never discovered her college destination if her family hadn’t moved to North Carolina two years ago.

Glickstein was familiar with the big schools in the state, but didn’t realize there was a chain of UNC options.

"I didn't know about any of them, but man I am happy I stumbled upon them and reached out to them,” Glickstein said. “I guess it's true when they say the most special and amazing aspects that come to you are the ones that you never expected."

Glickstein recently signed with UNC Wilmington. The four-star senior from Raleigh had several choices she was considering, but a campus visit secured her decision.

"People always told me once you go somewhere you know. But there hadn't really been anything like that for me,” she said. “But once I walked onto the Wilmington campus, I understood what everyone was telling me about. I knew that is where I wanted to be."
