Beverly Buckley isn’t making the short drive to the USTA All-American College Combine alone this year.
The Rollins College women’s coach is bringing two of her former players. Both remain intimately connected to the Division II school in Winter Park, Florida, and both will have roles at the Combine.

Tasi Purcell Batista is an assistant on Buckley’s staff and Elissa Jovita is the associate director of admission at Rollins.
Batista will be helping Buckley recruit players at the Combine while Jovita will be helping inform players and their parents about the college admissions process.
Batista just finished her first season on the Rollins staff. During the end-of-the-season coaches meeting, the former All-American asked Buckley if she wanted her to return for another year. Buckley couldn’t say “of course” fast enough.
“It’s exciting to have someone that young with that attitude,” Buckley said. “She told me she finally found her passion and knows this is what she wants to do. It was so gratifying to hear that.”
